The following belt‐driven governors are no longer available as "new" from suppliers and we are now offering them as factory reconditioned.
Governors are completely reconditioned and include replacement of all the necessary internal and sealing components. The housing is reused.

Prices shown are list prices with an “A” discount and are subject to change. All reconditioned governors are painted black. This will help everyone identify reconditioned governors on units in the field.

The part number for the $500.00 core charge is 037325.
A $500 core charge is invoiced on each reconditioned governor ordered and shipped. The core must be returned to Westerbeke freight prepaid to get credit. Reconditioned governors are packaged with shipping labels to return the core.
- The core must be complete and reusable and it must be properly packaged.
- If a core is received damaged because of improper packaging, Westerbeke is not responsible for issuing credit for the core.
- Upon receipt of the core at Westerbeke, a credit will be issued to the dealer. It is the dealer’s responsibility to credit the customer.
Important Notes: The shipping labels supplied with each reconditioned governor MUST be used. One label must be applied to the control arm of the governor and the other label must be applied to the outside of the shipping carton. The labels are marked (by Westerbeke) with a sales order number. The sales order number assures proper credit for the core.
- If the labels are not used, Westerbeke is not responsible for issuing credit for the core.
- Cores MUST be received at Westerbeke within 6 months of the invoice date that the reconditioned governor was purchased by the dealer.
- The core does not have to be the same part number as the reconditioned governor you purchased.
Each factory reconditioned governor is backed by Westerbeke’s 6 month limited Reconditioned Parts and Accessories Warranty.
If a governor fails within 6 months of the original purchase date, upon proof of purchase and receipt of the defective governor, Westerbeke will supply a replacement at no charge, (surface) freight prepaid.
