Thank you very much for your new SOL purchase.  Our team here is very excited to help you get out on the water.

I am sorry about the delay in reaching out to you.  The launch of the SOL at the Annapolis boat show far exceeded our expectations and it has taken a bit longer than expected to get back, settled, and caught up.

We will begin shipping new SOLs sometime in the 1st quarter of 2023.  As we get closer to knowing exactly when, we will communicate with you and start coordinating a delivery date and time.

You placed a deposit of $1200.00 for a new SOL and will be getting the Annapolis Boat Show promotion.  The show promotion is 10% off the $5200.00 retail price (which has since been raised to $5400.00 for new purchases) and with the promotion you will receive the following:
  • Complete boat with everything needed to rig the boat and ready it for sailing
  • White Deck
  • White Hull
  • Wood Rudder/Daggerboard
  • Your choice of sail
  • Free Mast Down Deck Cover
  • Freed Dynamic Dolly
There are a few upgrades available to you should you want them.
  1. SeaDek on the tops sides of your boat.  Our SeaDek is available in Red, Gray, Blue, Green, Yellow, and Orange.  The cost is $94.95.
  2. SeaDek on the cockpit floor of your boat.  Our SeaDek is available in Red, Gray, Blue, Green, Yellow, and Orange.  The cost is $119.95
  3. Your choice of colored handles.  Your boat comes standard with black at no charge.  You can upgrade to Red, Gray, Blue, Green, Yellow, or Orange.  Your cost is $39.95.
  4. The standard boat does not come with an extended splash guard.  You may upgrade to an extended splash guard available in Red, Gray, Blue, Green, or Orange.  Your cost is $69.95.
  5. Composite rudder and daggerboard.  The upgrade charge from wood to composite is $270.00.
  6. You can also purchase a SOL spar bag for $99.00.

We will anticipate shipping your new SOL boat via a freight carrier of our choice. The Freight carrier requires that you or your agent must be present when your boat is delivered.

The Freight carrier (and consequently SERO Innovation) can NOT BE RESPONSIBLE for any damage unless you note any damage with the delivery driver and on the packing slip before you accept the boat.  It is not often that a boat arrives damaged but in the event that it does the following must be adhered to to have any chance of getting a claim paid via the freight carrier. 1)  Contact us immediately (810-395-5447 or 586-744-8606). 2)  Take a whole bunch of pictures and don't be shy about it. (Pictures on the truck, pictures once unloaded prior to unpacking the boat, pictures of any damage, and any others you can think of.) 3) Do not, under any circumstance discard the cardboard box and/or crate the boat arrives in. 4) Note any damage with the driver and on the packing slip before you sign for the boat.

Your SOL boat is packed from the factory in a corrugated card board box which is how your new boat will be delivered to you to help avoid any damage but it is required that you inspect the boat to insure it has come to you damage free.  All packaging, boxes, etc. must be left with you.  It is not the responsibility of the driver/delivery company to hall away any waste.

Upon delivery you will need to be prepared to assist the driver with unloading the boat.  This is not something the driver can do by themselves.  In most cases (1) able bodied person and the driver will be enough.

Typically, we would process your credit card in two transactions.  The first transaction was your deposit in the amount of $1200.00.  That charge was processed as soon as you placed your order.  The second charge will reflect the balance of your order plus shipping/freight costs and will be processed just prior to shipment.
